Although previous studies have investigated conflict management, there is a need to explore the implementation of conflict management strategies in real-world settings, and to understand the patterns of conflict management strategies in different organizations. The research aims to answer four research questions, including what conflict managerial method are used in organizations, how effective they are in resolving conflicts to reach organization’s objectives, what patterns can be identified in the strategies used by different organizations, and whether the conflict management strategies used are in line with existing theories of conflict management. To achieve these aims, the researcher has used in-depth case study research methods, including content analysis with 5W1H data description, pattern analysis with the Thomas-Kilmann conflict handling methods and POLC managerial methods, and a pattern-matching technique. The text summarizes the research workflow, which includes collecting cases, content analysis, pattern analysis, and summarizing case studies to determine whether the findings conform with the theory of conflict management or require other explanations. The text also provides examples of the results of the case studies analyzed, including conflict arising from poor succession planning in Apple, conflict between Tesla and its employees, and internal organizational conflict in Manchester United in their decisions to recruit new manager after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
Moh. The existence of this informal space is not only a temporary waiting area but also a space that facilitates social interaction connected to academic activities. This study examines the space for social interaction in the campus environment and adaptation to the era of Society 5.0. This research involves architecture students as research subjects, considering their activities and needs that involve mental and intellectual aspects. In this context, the personal space proposed by Robert Sommet and the concept of third place proposed by Oldenburg become the theoretical basis for analyzing the space of student social interaction. These two ideas will collaborate to reveal the influence of Era 5.0 on students' social interactions in fulfilling their mental and intellectual qualities in learning outside the classroom. The era of Society 5.0 demands the expansion of campus interaction space and the integration of technology to accommodate students' mental and intellectual growth. In conclusion, social interaction spaces on campus are essential in shaping relationships between individuals, facilitating collaboration, and creating a positive social climate. Students are looking for informal spaces off campus to meet learning needs that involve mental and intellectual aspects. Adaptation of the interaction space order in campus architecture and technology integration is essential in facing the era of Society 5.0. A structured and supportive social interaction space can help maintain students' mental and intellectual balance.
Shania Ovili Anggreini, Deni, Hendra Aiyub Copyright (c) 2023 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://conferences.unusa.ac.id/index.php/paset/article/view/1316 Thu, 09 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Spatial Patterns Architecture on The Productive Society (Case Study: Public Space in Pujasera PIM, North Aceh) https://conferences.unusa.ac.id/index.php/paset/article/view/1317
Rapid urban development increases the intensity of activities that require places to facilitate them, especially public spaces. This research examines the spatial pattern of public space architecture in Pujasera PIM, North Aceh, focusing on its role in productive communities functioning as a communal dining area. With the emergence of Society 5.0, Pujasera has transitioned from a culinary destination to a gathering place for productive activities. This research aims to understand the spatial transition and activity patterns in Pujasera PIM, taking into account the needs and orientation of its visitors, using a qualitative exploratory method, combining Erik H. Erikson's life cycle theory and Norberg Schulz's geometric properties of boundaries, extent, enclosure, center, and figure-ground. The physical space of the Pujasera PIM was analyzed, highlighting its spatial organization and activities. The results show the dynamic nature of the pujasera architecture that accommodates different age groups and activities. Geometric properties play an essential role in shaping spatial patterns, and visitor characteristics influence the design and functionality of the space. The study concludes that Pujasera PIM architecture is vital in creating a productive and inclusive society, maximizing human potential, and improving overall well-being.
Melly Andria, Deni, Soraya Masthura Hassan Copyright (c) 2023 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://conferences.unusa.ac.id/index.php/paset/article/view/1317 Thu, 09 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Integration of TOD Based on Society 5.0 in Loop Lhokseumawe City https://conferences.unusa.ac.id/index.php/paset/article/view/1318
Implementing Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in downtown Lhokseumawe is an important step to improve transportation efficiency, improve the community's quality of life, and reduce negative environmental impacts. In this study, Thistentia identifies that TOD development has been identity orientation in the city center, existing allotment zones, metabolism of community life activities, and TOD planning embryos. Collaboration and participation from governments, communities, developers, and other stakeholders are essential to implement TOD successfully. The main focus should be integrated spatial planning, adequate infrastructure development, and good environmental management. In addition, public education and awareness about the benefits of TOD need to be increased through information campaigns and socialization programs. With these steps, TOD can be an effective solution in creating a sustainable, inclusive, and environmentally friendly city in the center of Lhokseumawe City.
Sukiandi Alfa Rizki, Cut Azmah Fithri, Fidyati Fidyati Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://conferences.unusa.ac.id/index.php/paset/article/view/1318 Mon, 13 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000
