Waste consists of three types, namely organic, inorganic and B3 waste. In GisikCemandi Sidoarjo Village related to waste management is still bad, as long as entering the village there are many piles of rubbish scattered and no TPS facilities, the education is the average elementary and junior high school. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes with the behavior of waste management in housewives in the Gisikcemandi Village in Sidoarjo. The type of research used is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population of this study is all housewives in the village of Gisikcemandi Sidoarjo. The research sample was taken by random sampling with a stratified sampling technique with a sample of 182 people. Data analysis used was chi square analysis. The results showed that there was no relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of waste management (p-value 0.152&gt; 0.05) and attitudes related to the behavior of waste management (p-value 0.009 &lt;0.05) in housewives in the village Gisikcemandi Sidaorjo. The conclusion shows that there is no correlation between the level of knowledge and the behavior of waste management and there is a relationship between attitude and behavior of waste management in the village of Gisikcemandi Sidoarjo. Suggestions that can be given are increasing awareness of housewives related to waste management by following good and correct waste management education.</p> ER -
